No one wants to fall. Yet falls remains a major public health concer, affecting 1 in 4 adults over the age of 65. They are the leading cause of both fatal and non-fatal injuries in older adults. Beyond physical harm, falls often trigger a cascade of consequences including loss of independence, depression, social isolation, decreased quality of life, and in some cases, death.
